Heraklion and bead shopping!

A day in Heraklion and doing last bead shoppings! In the end of this posting you can read where to buy your beads in case you make also jewelries and want to do some bead shoppings in Crete.

If you come with a camper you might find it difficult where to park, since in the cultural center it might be difficult. I always park in the opposite of the Shopping center "Talos" on the seaside. You can park there free of charge and sometimes in the winter months I have spend also a night there. There is free wifi offered by the municipal and if you fancy a burger meal (instead of traditional Greek food), Goody´s Burger is in "Talos". GPS coordinates for this parking are N 35°20'26" E 25°07´03" .

Few km walk to the center and there is also a stop directly front of the parking for Hop on Hop off sightseeing tour. Clever way to see the city!

Heraklion is the capital city of Crete and it is  worthwhile visiting. And of course nearby you will find also Knossos, the bronze age palace. Cultural center of Heraklion is surrounded with old city walls and there is also a venetian fortress.

BeadHolic? Here you will find places where I did some bead shoppings...

Gini has the biggest selection of semi precious stones and many other things too

Here you can buy wax coord for macrame, best prices if you buy per meter! You will also find some beads and metal parts too. Possibility to buy wax coord by rolls!

Parlamas have everything for goldsmiths and silversmiths, shop for real professionals. Located little bit out of the center, these coordinates might help you N 35°19'44" E 25°07'47" .

Many metal parts!

Nama shop is having two shops for beads, one in Rethymno and the other in Heraklion. Good selection of metal beads etc, but wax coord is pricy per meter.

Handromania is not in Heraklion, it is in Chania. You can also order wax coord by rolls (price is much more interesting if you are a big consumer!)
