Welcome warmer Cretan February

End of December I was writing that how fresh December was and now I can write how January was really fresh! I do hope that end of February I am not writing about even colder February. Many rainy days, which nature of course needs, but when just one sunny day comes, life feels directly better and more beautiful. When the sun came out, outdoors were calling us. How lovely when everything gets green again and so many flowers are blooming <3.

Many fruits out there :)

This mountain´s nickname is Zeus, can you see Zeus watching the sky? Like been a guardian of Crete. He even has eyelashes, a tree growing just in a right place. Now he was watching that the full moon is doing his job properly.

I love the contrast of these colors, snow on the mountains and further down olive groves!

A day trip to Ierapetra, also snow to see. Actually snow is there on the mountains every year during the winter, the difference is that this year, snow came below 400 meters in altitude.

Even my beautiful Zeus, got little snow on his face.

If the sky looks like this, be sure it is not just a little rain shower! We got nice drumming of the rain on our little van´s roof. Nature giving its concert.

My new very best friend, a mini heater. The good part of a tiny home is, that it gets quickly warm :P.

Double blankets are welcome!

A finnish camper friend made me last winter excellent socks from wool. They are in every day use now, even the Greek gia gias (grannies) had a closer look at them as most of them are weaving too. Socks not, so this was a great curiosity. They all nodded their approval :).

I can not complain to be inside in a warm van, just imagine all stray animals. These two cuties are fed by a local man, you always see them around his house.
